"My experience with Debra Kling was a pleasure from start to finish. I have always prided myself on being strong at decorating and choosing colors, so had never enlisted a professional consultant before. I live in a very contemporary style home, but gravitate towards a warm and cozy look, which is hard to balance in a contemporary style. As I was considering re-painting my interior, a friend told me about Debra and showed me some of the recommendations she made for her home. I called Debra, who changed her schedule to accommodate the day/time that I could meet. When I met with her, she was warm, friendly, and breezed through the house articulating her ideas immediately. Her ideas were ones that I would have never thought of. Loving color, she actually suggested I go all white, to bring the outside in though my many windows, with strong pops of color to highlight the architectural accents of my fireplaces, the bottom of my stairs and window trims. She suggested very unusual colors that I would have never thought of for my bathrooms and bedrooms. Eggplant, Limesickle and Raspberry to name a few. She was spot on with all of them. Debra also went out of her way to suggest throw pillow colors and fabrics, as well as beautifully hand blown glass kitchen lights. Always knowledgeable, immediately responsive and available, and truly talented. Would highly recommend her to anyone."

"I hired Debra Kling on an hourly consultant basis because I admired several stunning fabric and paint color choices she had made in the home of a dear friend of mine. So far Debra has helped me 1) choose paint colors for my living room, dining room, hallway, study and master bedroom 2) select wallpaper for a bathroom 3) select four new armchairs, two new end tables, two throw pillows and a large oriental rug for my bright new living room 4) design an area rug for the guest bedroom 5) select a mirror for the entryway 6) select carpeting for the stairs and upstairs hallway. "My wife and I decided it was time to paint the exterior of our house. Seemed simple enough. After fifteen or so sample pints and the sides of our house appearing closer to blue/grey/brown/green/yellow plaid, we were no closer to a decision. "I hired Debra based on the reviews on Houzz. We were remodeling our kitchen and laundry room and were at the point when the rooms had been designed and the cabinets already ordered. Debra helped us with the final decision on our flooring and granite - which we had pretty much decided on already -- and then worked with us to select backsplash tile & grout, lighting, sinks & faucets, hardware and paint colors to make sure it all coordinated. In terms of working together, Debra was very responsive to emails, calls and texts. Picking a suitable color was a bit overwhelming when looking through the BM hefty fan deck but she narrowed down the choices for me. I know what I like but needed help finding the right colors and she did it. Debra encouraged me to experiment a bit with the cabinet color and I'm so happy I did! I also needed a drum pendant for my kitchen and tile backsplash but like paint colors the choices were many. Debra was able to show me several choices that would work in my space.
